food

Hi!  Today I'm going to talk about food!  Here are some of the weird foods I've tried:
                                                                                                                     sushi
                                                                                                              roasted cow heart
                                                                                                             dried seaweed

Sushi is made of raw fish, seaweed, rice and other types of fish and other stuff.  Sushi is one of my favorite foods. For my ninth birthday I had sushi with one of my friends.

Roasted cow heart actually tastes like roast beef.  One day I was at my home school co-op when my best friend's mom asked me if I wanted to try roasted cow heart.  So I said sure!  So that's how I came to eat roasted cow heart!

Dried seaweed looks like green paper and is really salty.  My Uncle likes to shop at Asian food stores so he for Christmas sent us these dried seaweed packets.  No one in my family liked them except me so I ended up eating most of them!

Please try new foods because I've tried a lot of new foods and I'm not dead.

This is sushi
There are only two days left to vote on the poll so vote now!  Tell me what weird foods you've tried!

  1. I love Sushi!

Did you know there are some exotic foods you could try that could make you "dead?" Research Blowfish and let me know what you find.

  2. I've eaten alligator, mussels, octopus, and liver! I decided that I can't eat seafood that is cold and raw or"slippery", but I love shrimp! Keep trying and keep writing, Izzy!

  3. I've tried ostrich, alligator, kalimari, escargot (snails), raw salmon (on a plane back from Germany-my husband thought they were tomatoes, but the lack of seeds and strange texture tipped me off), mussels, and venison. That's about it for meats...have you ever eaten kumquats or parsnips...or swiss chard?
